Come what may and Love it

I bought a poster at Oh, Sweet Sadie that I can't wait to frame: it simply says, "Come What May and Love It." It was related by the late Elder Wirthlin; and thinking about that statement he made I found this to share- what an excelllent message:

The Big Ten

May 15, 2009: our Tenth Anniversary! I had to devote a post to this awesome milestone. Being married to Ryan has been an adventure in and of itself. He and I would be the definition of "opposites attract." But I have a lot to be grateful for today; our Wedding Day was memorable- but the thing I have thought more than anything is that it's because of our marriage that we have three, almost four, awesome kids that are the center of our lives and we love it. Ryan is such a great dad- he is the rough and tumble wrestler that "eats bellies" and has our kids running and screaming when he's home from work. He is an excellent provider for our family and has a short fuse, funny and sarcastic personality, and those brown eyes that sparkle, still. He has been the best companion for me; he is level-headed and keeps me grounded and sane. I have learned a lot about myself because of him- and I am still working. Here we are, close to our first anniversary at Graduation:

And he always plans fun vacations like our Moab river rafting on our Third anniversary:



And after our sweet Jordan came along (finally), you can see how thrilled Ryan was to become a daddy:

So today I celebrate the fact that even though our marriage is not even close to perfect; it is perfect for us.
