Without House; With Child
I feel like this is my slogan. It's been a whole week since we have moved out of our fantastic Riverton home that we have loved for eight years. It was a tearful goodbye- and with our belongings stored at Marci's and Brinkley, our dog, at Tricia's; it's been a week. We have stayed at my mom's home until Thursday, and now we are crashed at Bonnie's in Logan for the weekend. I have been on a really emotional roller-coaster this week and it does NOT help that I am high on pregnancy hormones. I really have cried my eyes out this weekend. So, here's the dilemma- we are waiting on a dream home in Herriman that is a short sale- and we keep getting pushed back on the bank's timeline- and since April have been playing that game. We have two other offers on two more short sales in Herriman; and nothing doing. This Thursday, after the bank lost our file last month, and after they told us that it would go to a final closer this past Friday; we got the big whammy- our file was not being reviewed at all- they were looking at the wrong file. So, now it's been transferred to another bank guy who is going to take another three weeks. Nice. We have now looked at some homes in Wellsville- aka Logan- and in a sense it would be like coming home- we attended USU here and met here and we have family here. We found a fantastic home- no short sale here. The views are fantastic. I mean holy wow. The paint colors in the home could have all been picked by me. The yard is finished and finished fantastically. But it is so hard to think about the changes- even if it could be a great change for us. So, here we are- in the thick of it... and I have tried my best to smile, think positively, pray, you name it. Then I just had to scream on Thursday. So, what do you do? Ryan and I have had many conversations about how people make big life decisions like 1) having a baby, 2) remodeling their home or 3) moving. How about all three? That's me: without house, but with child....

A conversation I had with Bobby Today:
B: "Does Autumn live wif Chwoe? (Chloe)"
Me: "Yes, they are sisters. Just like your sister, Julia."
B: "But, it's Autumn is a girl."
Me: "Yeah, Julia doesn't have a sister, just brothers. I had sisters. Aunt Kina is my sister."
B: "Yeah, Aunt Kina. She's the best."
Me: laughing, "Yes, she is the best; Can I tell her that?"
B: All shy, "No, don't tell her."

Snuggle Bug
These two kids make me smile. I had to grab the camera after Bobby hopped into Julia's bed one morning last week, and with a huge smile on her face- Julia offered some of her blanket. Not just any blanket, but her "pink blankey" that she adores and has to sleep with. It's so great to have them be the best of friends- they made my day. Such a funny expression on Bobby's face!

Memorial Day '09
Jordie
It's tradition: we go to Monticello every Memorial Day camping with Ry's family and we always have a good time. This year, Ryan was coerced by me to rent a trailer for the weekend because I don't enjoy camping in a tent while pregnant. So we did rent one and left Wednesday morning to go just our family to Goblin Valley then on down to Monticello to set up camp for the rest of the family to join us! We had some great times playing Hide n' Seek among the goblins, and even found some lizards! Then we found a new friend that morning as we left: a scorpion. It was only a small, silver dollar size scorpion, but still scared Ryan as he removed the wood from under the trailer hitch!!
We stopped on Thursday in Moab, then went on to Wilson Arch and took a minute to hike up to it! Fun!
It was pouring rain both Thursday and Friday; but by Saturday we had a nice overcast day with a lot of fun pools to ride the four wheelers through and for the dogs to swim in!! The cousins had so much fun playing with play-doh, coloring, and just plain having fun hiking around and adventuring together. We always visit Grandpa Day's grave in Monticello for Memorial Day, and I just love the fun time we all have together laughing around the campfire and playing together. We always say that we might need a different location- it always rains! But it always turns out great- we always have fun and the memories always make us laugh and smile!

Soccer Saturday
We have had more fun with USA soccer this fall and spring with Ryan as the coach! Jordan loves soccer and has been such a blast to see him play: the first game he figured it out: make a goal and get lots of cheers!
We had our last game as the Purple People Eaters on Saturday, and I have to say that we had the best team!! It was tons of fun!
