The kind of week I've had..

Not that it's been bad; but it certainly has had it's moments. I guess it's bound to happen after you had the best week ever last week; closing on this house that has had my number for the past year and a half! I LOVE our new place... it is getting better every day I un-pack another box! I have empty boxes for anyone who needs 'em! So, thanks to Mindi, I found some fun expressions that sum it up:

On Monday, I decided to venture out and accomplish many tasks: fill up the van with gas, return Library materials, go to the city offices to get our water bill in our names, deliver Scentsy, and pick up Ryan from work. Upon filling the van with gas I notice that my rear tire is FLAT! I could fill it with air; but had to take a detour to the tire store with three kids after they were NOT on their best behavior at the city offices- Bobby sat on the coloring book they were all coloring in; and when I took it away he tore a leaf off of the plant in their nice office and shredded it and proceeded to yell that he hated me... so the nice women in the office could have handed me this card:

So, after picking Ryan up from work- he turns to me with this incredulous look and asks, "Now, what is going on today?" I gave him the whole story- and I have decided that I would have given him this card:

Tuesday was tons of fun- Jordan had his first day of Kindergarten- the bus didn't come; but it was fun to drive him to school and watch him line up for his first day of school! I was so proud and I missed him so much! He ran off the bus and said, "That was freaking awesome!!" to which I would have given him this card:

Later on, we went to his first soccer practice for this year- and wanting to park close so that I don't have to waddle far- I notice this big old truck taking up two spaces when there aren't many to begin with. I would have loved to leave this card on his windshield:

Wednesday was better. This time the bus came; and we had Bobby busy with his new best friend, Mason. I really miss Jordan while he is gone! He is gone for four hours! I can't imagine first grade!! So, while I was working in the front room unpacking pictures and cleaning off the dust; a nice-looking kid comes to the door to sell something... and I am thinking, "Shoot! I can't pretend NOT to be home... I have GOT to put a no soliciting sign on my door!" But I open it and he begins his unbelievably long shpiel on how this program of his has gotten him off the streets and blah blah blah... so I could've used this card:

He kept asking me questions about myself; no doubt it's one of his ploys to keep me alert-but what he asked was: "How many months you got left?" To which I replied, "Three WEEKS!" as I rubbed my sweet basketball belly. THEN, he asks, "Can I feel your tummy?" What? Did he really just ask me that? Now, know that I don't typically mind my friends and family and close-acquaintances doing that, but I had to think fast- I can NOT have this guy that I don't even know feeling my pregnant tummy- so I say, "Umm, No, that happens to be a pet-peeve of mine." Wow. I really needed this card:

Maybe I am feeling an overload of sarcasm today; but I really want all of the booklets that are available. Check them out: they may help you, too!
