10-4 Good Buddy: That's my Bobby. Born Tuesday, October 4, 2007 at 1:08 a.m. and weighing in at 8 lbs. 3 oz. to a happy Mom and Dad! There are several things that I think of when I remember his birth: eating trail mix, watching Karate Kid, chatting with my Nurse Midwife- Kathryn about dating (she was single); and waiting for real labor to begin. Bobby's was my easiest birth- and he was wide-eyed and calm; ready to greet the world! We were SO happy to add him to our growing family; and he is definitely my most spunky, funny, sweet, tantrum-throwing, loving kid. Bobby has frustrated me since 14 months of age; when Julia came rather unexpectedly; but I look back now and just feel crazy relief knowing that we got through it and we have three happy, healthy kids.
So how is it that Bobby is 3 already?! Here's a bit of fun info. about him:
1. He is named after his Grandpa Robert; Ryan's awesome dad.
2. He is a great little buddy to Jordan- he shares most of the time and really makes Jordan chuckle with his antics.
2. Julia adores him: she follows him around, does what he does, and loves to hug him.
3. He is Ryan's "Special Bobby" they have a special bond.
4. I love the way he looks into my eyes- he has these big, hazel eyes that are full of sparkle, mischief, and fun.
5. He LOVES motorcycles and four-wheelers- so Dad is tops.
6. He is SO cute when he jumps on the trampoline- "little binger" I call him.
7. He was the chubbiest little baby- tons of rolls- and he is still more "thick" than Jordan the bean-pole.
8. He has this dance that makes us laugh- it's a booty shaking/attitude dance that he frequently does while standing on his barstool in the kitchen.
9. He is high-maintenance- he is VERY determined and stubborn- which will be good attributes as he gets older... not so much now!!
10. He has frustrated me to no end.. but I LOVE him and know that I can parent him- after all, I just began a Parenting with Love and Logic class- so watch out!
So here's my tribute to my sweet Bobby- you're crazy, silly, laughable and I love you.
