Still Laughing..

Ah, the 80's. I swear this could have happened at the Miss American Fork competition!! I used to watch all the contestants in amazement- they were brave. This girl? Very pretty, not so much skilled in the trumpet solo area.. no one even claps! But I am still laughing over it, so thanks, Kina, for sending it my way!!

I'm a Danish...

So thanks, Lizz, for the laugh! Apparently, they weren't aware that I ALREADY have a muffin top! What kind of breakfast are you??

You Are Danishes

Indulgent and a bit greedy, you eat whatever you feel like eating... nutrition be damned.

You have a total sweet tooth, and you pretty much give into it whenever you feel like it.

While it treating yourself is nice occasionally, try eating a vegetable every once and a while.

Lay off the donuts and muffins, unless you want to be sporting a "muffin top" of your own!

At the Zoo

Oh, the zoo.. We had a family pass for the past year, and really, really enjoyed it! We took several friends and family with us and each time was different! Each time we went, there was something to enjoy- the tiger swimming, the black bears playing and swimming together, the leopard pacing right by the glass- eyeing the kids, a baby giraffe, the white alligator, the bird show, the rhino's up close... it was FUN! So here is my dedication- pictures of our year at the zoo!

Pony Tales

I got Julia's hair into a pony tail on Thursday last week before going on a day of shopping and visiting! It was so cute.. and even though she pulled it out later it was fun to try! Her hair is really coming in! What was really crazy though, was how Julia reminds me of my Baby sister, Megan- (who is now married and in her 20's) but seriously- it took me back to putting her hair into ponytails, etc.! Love you Meg!

Say Your Prayers

I was thinking about what is keeping a smile on my face lately; and it has to be Jordan's prayers. Since the time he began saying them on his own, he has coined a phrase that is all his own, and I love it. He begins his prayer and thanks his Heavenly Father for this day, then he says, "Thank you for all we can do." That's it. It melts my heart every time, because I realize that it encompasses all that he does in one day- and it is so innocent and heartfelt; and I didn't teach him that! So one quick story: Ryan and I went to a Christmas cousins party, and left the boys home with a sitter. As we returned and got them into bed, Jordan decided to have his dinosaur puppet, "sniffles," say HIS prayer. When he began his prayer in his deepest, most fierce dino voice, Ryan and I couldn't help ourselves and busted up laughing... good fun. Jordan is such a fun kid to get to know- he's a little shy and rough around the edges, but the sparkle in my eyes. A side-note to that story, just an hour or so later Ryan and I were watching a lame Jackie Chan movie in bed when my water broke... Julia was on her way! I am thankful for all we can do.. life is great.
